What Are CSCS Cards?
CSCS Cards serve as proof that individuals working on construction sites possess the necessary qualifications and experience to perform their jobs safely and effectively. In many cases, a CSCS Card is required for access to construction sites across the UK. The cards come in different colours, each representing specific trades and skill levels. For example, to obtain a CSCS Green Card, you need to complete a Health, Safety and Awareness course. A CSCS Blue Card requires completion of an NVQ Level 2 or an equivalent qualification, while a CSCS Gold Card requires an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. Which Test Must You Complete to Obtain a CSCS Card?
Before you can apply for a CSCS Card, you must first pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test, often referred to as the CITB health and safety test or the touch screen test. Successfully completing this test is mandatory to obtain a CSCS Card. The test lasts 45 minutes and consists of 50 multiple-choice questions. To pass, you need to answer at least 45 questions correctly.
CITB Test Booking
You can book your CITB test through this service at more than 150 CITB-approved test centres across the country. After booking, your test date, time, and location will be sent to you via email. Payments are securely processed using a credit or debit card. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an email confirmation with all the details of your test appointment.
NVQ Information
NVQs are required to apply for higher-level CSCS cards, such as the Blue and Gold cards. Through this service, you can request information about NVQs, including details on grants your company may qualify for. Click here to learn more.
